Incredible Food in Paris
I knew the food in Paris was going to be on another level. But I didn’t expect every single thing we ate to be spectacular.
Here are all of the things my partner and I ate on our trip to Paris!
Croissant benedicts at Patrol (May 2024)
Brunch at Rosemonde by Patrol
We grabbed our first real meal at Rosemonde by Patrol: a croissant benedict that really raised my expectations for what we’d be eating on this trip.
The experience was idyllic – sitting at a tiny round table out front of a Parisian cafe, the morning sun warming us up. Flakey croissant and runny egg, with a coffee to get ready for the day. It was delicious.
French onion soup at Le Choupinet (May 2024)
Dinner at Le Choupinet
We chose Le Choupinet because it was nearly a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We stayed because the food was absolutely amazing.
I knew I had to get the French onion soup, which lived up to the hype. An appetizer followed by some pretty tasty chicken with mashed potatoes. Comfort food in a modern setting that was a perfect way to end the day.
Croissants and hot chocolate at Cafe de Flore (May 2024)
Breakfast at Cafe de Flore
On our way to the Eiffel Tower, the first stop was going to be breakfast. And what better place to stop for a quick bite than the Cafe de Flore?
We’re morning people, so we arrived as soon as it opened and grabbed a table on the sidewalk. All I really wanted was an iconic Cafe de Flore hot chocolate, and it did not disappoint. Especially when served on the side of a flakey, buttery croissant.
Spicy pizza and fettuccine at SoHo Trattoria (May 2024)
Dinner at SoHo Trattoria
One of our favourite ways to discover places to eat on vacation is going on Google Maps and searching up the type of food we’re feeling at the moment. Usually we settle on something that has high reviews and captivating pictures.
So we looked up Italian food and found SoHo Trattoria only a short walk from the hotel, and our tried and true method did not disappoint.
The fettuccine alfredo and hot + spicy pizza dishes were some of our favourite of the whole trip!
Brunch at Kozy (May 2024)
Brunch at Kozy
We went to Kozy for brunch on our final day in Paris. It’s a cute cafe in the Notre Dame neighbourhood. Personally, I was stoked because this is the first places in Paris that I could find an iced coffee. After a couple of days of craving, it really did hit different.
The French brioche and seasonal fruits were super tasty, and a great way to fill up before a busy day on the town.
Dessert at the Moulin Rouge (May 2024)
Dinner at the Moulin Rouge
To me, eating at the Moulin Rouge was all about the vibes. There was live music, tiny tables jam packed with people speaking in many different languages.
Then the champagne came out and it really was just the most romantic place I’ve ever been.
The food itself was of course, also unbelievable. The menu changes seasonally, and our version of the Toulouse Lautrec dinner included salmon and a foamy dessert, so I was happy.
