7-Day Tokyo Itinerary: Your Ultimate Solo Travel Experience
I recently experienced the overwhelming, magical, and entirely unforgettable rush of Tokyo β and I learned one major lesson: planning is everything, but so is protecting your energy!
This is my carefully planned 7-day Tokyo itinerary.
Best Places to Eat in Tokyo
Tokyo is a foodie playground where every street corner tempts you with sizzling plates, colourful desserts, and flavours you didnβt even know you needed. Whether youβre a curious traveller, an anxious diner seeking comfort, or a dessert-loving dreamer on a mission, here are the best places to eat in Tokyoβstraight from my tastebuds to yours.
Our Last Days in Tokyo
The last three days of our trip we ended up re-visiting some spots and just soaking up the Tokyo vibes. Japan has become one of my favourite places β but I know Iβll have to go back one day.
Tokyo: Shinjuku
The first adventure was literally just getting to Shinjuku. We made the mistake of taking the metro to Shinjuku Station directly. Itβs known as being the worldβs most notoriously confusing metro station, and it definitely was stressful to navigate.
Tokyo: Minato
Thatβs the thing about travelling β whether youβre doing it alone or with friends or family β you need to protect your energy. If youβre going to be planning a busy itinerary and packing as much as you can into your limited time in a new country, that is expected. But you also have to plan for some downtime.
Tokyo: Ginza
If youβre hoping to eat the iconic fluffy pancakes at Happy Pancake, youβre going to have to go a couple of hours early, scan the QR code and get on the virtual, waiting list. Youβll get contacted when your reservation is ready!
Tokyo: Asakusa and Ueno
When I think about Tokyo, I think about the cityβs rich history and culture. So the day we had planned to go to Asakusa and see Senso-ji Temple, I was so eager to get up and go.
Tokyo: Shibuya and Harajuku
Then it was time to head to Shibuya Sky for our ticketed slot. Most people try to book this lookout ticket for sunset, but we wanted to go early in our day. So if youβre trying to book for sunset hour, itβs going to be hard to book.
Tokyo: Arrival and Odaiba
Tokyo seemed like a pipe dream of a location for so long. Somewhere Iβd always wanted to go, but would never be able to make it happen. And suddenly this destination went from being a fantasy to reality.
My Itinerary: 7 Days in Las Vegas
Planning a trip to Vegas in the near future? Iβve got you covered. Hereβs my 7-day itinerary for a group of four in Las Vegas β yours to steal and make your own!
How to Plan a Friends Trip to Vegas
So itβs happening β youβre taking the Vegas trip out of the group chat and making it a reality! But where do you start? As someone who successfully planned a trip for four to Las Vegas, here are my tips for organizing a group trip to one of the most popular places for it!
Las Vegas: the Best Bites
Vegas doesnβt do anything half-way, and that includes the food! Everything we ate in Las Vegas was extravagant and over the top, in terms of both taste or presentation.
Las Vegas: Eiffel Tower Brunch
Waking up on the last day in Vegas was almost painful. My partner and I had such an amazing week together with our friends, and by the end of the night, weβd be on a plane back home.
Las Vegas: Tattoos and a Haunted Museum
That realization that hits you around this point of your travels when you realize youβre going to have to go back home, and the fantasy will soon be over. So we had packed our day full of bucket list things we wanted to do in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas: Pool Days, Concert Nights
Almost immediately after booking our flights and hotel for this trip, I realized The Killers would be doing a two-week residency in Vegas. So I very quickly booked a ticket to one of the shows.
Las Vegas: Red Rock Canyon
My friends and I had an incredible week in Vegas, but our day in Red Rock Canyon was one of my favourites. I love a light hike, and a light hike in the desert is my newest happy place.
Las Vegas: Omega Mart & Fremont Street
The first time I was in Las Vegas, I was told to go to Omega Mart for a very unique immersive art experience. This time, I wasnβt going to miss the chance.
